My Story

Once upon a time there was a very emotional young boy named Phil. Phil felt constantly overwhelmed by other people's emotions and grew up in a time when young boys were told to be tough and emotions were a sign of weakness. Everywhere he went, he felt the stress of others and thought it was his own for a very long time.

Luckily for him, he loved to sleep, allowing him to disconnect from the stress. He also unknowingly, was able to channel his 'stress' energy into building up his physical body through sports and play which also helped him regulate his stress response for a long time.

As he moved through his teen years the stress of responsibility and expectations began to build to the point that he felt it in his body, so he went to his doctor. He was told that it was all in his head and there was nothing he could do about it. Discouraged but not broken, he continued on, trying his best and pushed through the suffering.

Until one day, after many devoted years of studying the human body he had a breakthrough and realized that stress was a necessary part of life. In fact stress was in his mind AND his body.

This 'aha moment' changed his relationship with stress forever. It led him to realize that stress was not his fault, but he was responsible to do something about it. Most importantly, he discovered there was something he COULD do.

Thus began the journey of healing for this small town boy to the Far East to study meditation and other mind-body techniques. This immersive experience allowed him to create a daily practice to transform from a full- on victim, to a fully responsible powerful man in a surprisingly short period of time using just one secret ingredient. This secret ingredient has allowed him to reconnect with his body in new ways to promote self regulation and restoration of his nervous system.

His 20 year self-care practice allowed him to turn his theoretical knowledge into embodied wisdom. Not only that, his transformational experience gave him the drive to inform, inspire, and empower others to do the same.
